Paper dolls have been have been around for almost two hundred years as an inexpensive children’s toy. The paper doll figures are generally made from heavy card stock or board depicting a person with a body or bathing suit so that other pieces of clothing can be placed on it. The separate cloths are usually held onto the figure using tabs as shown below. Below are samples of different paper dolls throughout the years.
