Crabs are crustaceans having an exoskeleton instead of an interior skeleton. The exterior shell protects them from predators and provides support much like a skeleton does. They have ten jointed legs and walk sideways; they have two large grasping claws called pincers at the end of their two front legs. Although a few crabs, sometime called terrestrial crabs, live predominantly on land most crabs live in the ocean. Some crabs are omnivores eating plants and animals while some crabs are herbivores eating only plants. They  have a flat body, two eyes, and two antennae like feelers.
